Theater Censorship and Performances of the Drama Society in Ljubljana (1887–1914)

The digital repository was created as part of the ARRS research project Slovenian Literati and Imperial Censorship in the Long 19th Century (J6-2583). It contains documents on the censorship of theatrical texts that the Dramatic Society intended to stage and that the Kranjska Regional Presidium had to request. The collection contains a list of these censored documents, which are kept in the Fund of the Regional Presidium for Carniola in the Archives of the Republic of Slovenia, facsimiles of documents where the censors demanded certain interventions in the text (mainly the omission of words and lines) and some other documents related to the censorship of theatrical texts.
